DeStigmatize Me was a music + arts event that took place on May 7, 2016 at 1904 Music Hall in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. This event was created in efforts to help raise awareness and provide resources for mental health in the community. All proceeds raised went directly to the NAMI Jacksonville (National Alliance on Mental Illness). It was truly sponsored by the community, for the community.
I led the creative direction and design on the board of DSM, creating marketing and promotional materials for the event. We reached out to a class at our alma mater, Flagler College, and worked with a graphic design class to create an interactive installation for the event. I couldn't have asked for a kinder group of young, accepting individuals to have been alongside in putting together such an impactful experience for our community.
